Located behind the Sol Healing and Wellness Center. Minutes from North Austin Medical Center yet nestled in a wooded area that evokes notes of a peaceful retreat.
While our focus is on home birth, many families desire an out of hospital birth, but do not want a home birth. For some clients, they feel they are too far from their local hospital in case of emergency. For others they do not feel comfortable birthing at home. And for some clients they want to have more pain relief options than are available to home birth clients. This is why we offer an option of an Austin Birth Center location at Lotus Community Birthing Center with your Midwife, Jennifer Timbs.
We will have you contact Varshna Narumanchi LM, RN, CPM, IBCLC to arrange a tour of the center and discuss the facility fees. We will give you that information when you sign up for our midwifery services.
The Cypress Room faces east offering a little more privacy for birthing families. It has its own half-bath.
The Magnolia Room has two windows overlooking the lovely gardens and lawn. It has a half-bath that connects it to the Lotus Room.
Walk in shower with inflatable tub. The use of aquatherapy during labor and birth has many benefits. Using an inflatable tub is more sanitary and comfortable than tubs that feature jets. Every client will use a new unopened liner for their labor and birth.
The serene outdoor space at Lotus Community Birth Center awaits birthing families. The Austin birth center is located behind Sol Healing and Wellness.
Laughing gas has been used in a variety of settings for decades for assistance with pain control. Used at a controlled blend for our laboring families, we can offer this at the birthing center only. It is self administered and non invasive making it an ideal choice for physiological birth. Additional fees if used.
